More About Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment, and the experience of heightened awareness of our thoughts and sensations, without judgment. Mindfulness is available to everyone, at any given time—and this ability strengthens with practice. Like any muscle, the more you train, the stronger it becomes. Even a few minutes a day can add up to a whole new perspective.
The idea behind practicing mindfulness is to train your brain to return to the present moment whenever you become lost in thought or emotion. In doing so, you create space to handle whatever comes your way with greater calm and ease.
Benefits of Mindfulness
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Better mental and emotional well-being
- Stronger connection to yourself and others
- Improved emotional regulation
- Great sense of inner calm and resilience
